17 Jul 2025

The PCIM Conference gives authors the opportunity to present their work, including previously unpublished material, to an international audience of more than 800 representatives from the business and scientific sides of power electronics. All accepted authors will have their articles published in the PCIM Conference proceedings and renowned databases like IEEE Xplore, and Scopus.

In addition to having their work published, speakers at the PCIM Conference will benefit from the direct feedback they receive from both industry and academia – and make valuable contacts in the power electronics community in the process. This event is the perfect opportunity to make a name for themselves in their chosen career.

“In today’s world, time seems to fly by faster and faster. So, to ensure a better future for all of us, we need to share our knowledge, experiences, and ideas. And there’s no better place to do this than at the PCIM in Nuremberg,” states Martin Schiestl from Infineon Technologies Austria, who gave a presentation at the PCIM Conference in 2025 and took home the Young Engineer Award the same year. He adds: “I now attend the PCIM Conference every year and always try to give at least one presentation there, because it’s such a valuable opportunity to share ideas with so many of my peers in the industry. It’s beginning to feel like a family reunion that I look forward to every year.”

Choose from an array of ways to present at the PCIM Conference

The PCIM Conference offers a variety of presentation options: The 20-minute talks will take place on the conference stages at NCC Mitte. In addition, poster presentations will provide an opportunity for direct dialog between speakers and participants. Finally, we’re once again offering the option to submit abstracts for half-day seminars. Scheduled to be held on the two days leading up to the PCIM Expo & Conference, this format enables in-depth dialog on specific topics in a small group setting.

PCIM Conference Advisory Board gives the industry’s seal of approval

The PCIM Advisory Board is responsible for selecting high-quality contributions for the PCIM Conference. All submissions are evaluated by this committee, which is chaired by Prof. Leo Lorenz. The abstracts will be assessed based on their topicality, relevance, quality, and information value.

Accolades and financial support

The best submissions will be recognized in five categories by three prestigious awards: the Best Paper Award, the Young Engineer Award, and the Young Researcher Award. In addition to prize money of €1,000 each, the winners will enjoy special recognition at the event and will be promoted through various channels.

The PCIM Conference will also provide a €500 travel subsidy to international students who wish to attend. Full-time students in the field of power electronics are eligible to apply and present their work in person in Nuremberg.

The PCIM Expo & Conference is the central industry platform for pioneering product premieres, innovations, and the latest research findings. With its unique combination of scientific convention and practically oriented trade fair, the event welcomed 685 exhibiting companies, 16,500 visitors, and more than 800 conference participants from the realms of science and industry in 2025. With a record 62% international attendance, the event underscores the global relevance of power electronics and is the leading international event for the power electronics community.
